Jack Everest Hite grew up in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. At the age of 18, he helped co-found an entertainment company supporting the marketing of music festivals around Mexico.
Q&A with JACK & PARTH
How long have you been a DJ?
Jack has been for the past 4 years and Parth started DJ-ing when he was 12 years old.
How and Why did you become a DJ?
Jack became a DJ when I realized that I want to create experiences in which people can dance and express themselves without feeling judged. Growing up, Parth witnessed his uncle and grandfather create music, and, as a third-generation producer, he visualized a way to blend different songs together. Under the mentorship of his uncle, he learned the basic skills of DJ-ing and has worked on creating his own style since.
What or Who inspired you to become a DJ? Why?
Calvin Harris! Mostly because of his constant iconic projects he creates and how I've used his music to mark major turning points in my life. We want to be someone to create that kind of music.
Are there any upcoming events or pieces that you are currently working on?
We're currently looking at going to Mexico for a Spring Break deal at clubs around the west coast.
What advice would you give to up-and-coming DJs?
Just keep practicing whenever you can and don't be afraid to play for those around you.
